Updated baby car camping must haves
Alright let’s dive in … round ✌🏼
For longer travels.
This is my main infant tub at home too because it works in the shower, and in the bath tub without having to fill the whole thing.
Lay down option for younger. And then swap to sitting position on the other side for older babies.
Mix water w boiling water to make just the right temp.
Use these at home every night too
Depending on where you’re camping and your rig you can go up in weight for warmth
This helps me feel more comfortable co-sleeping when they’re infants … do your research here and decide what you’re most comfortable with 😉
This fit great in our van.
If you’ve got a GFC/Super Pacific style camper: This fits in the bed of the truck if you find you want them to sleep below. Folds up super nice. I like that the feet go straight down rather than out for better use of a tight space.
OTHER OPTION: Guava Lotus Travel Crib
Love the side zipper so you can access them easier.
Which I’ve really liked using for toddler stage too because they can climb in and out in their own
Any will do!
Great for if you’re in a rtt or something that doesn’t have temp regulations
There are 2 weights. The lighter one has access to their hands. The heavier weight has their hands completely closed off … something I wish I’d known! I prefer the lighter weight (40 degree) and just put them in a fleece pj underneath.
Depends on your temps
Some extra travel options …
Car seat + stroller in one
Psst! You don’t have to use the base if you’re trying to save on weight and space (see instructions for how to buckle it in)
We use around camp so he can hang out w/us and be off the ground … same idea as a stroller but its a 2 and 1 for space purposes
Also great for running into town/store quickly without having to take them out or wake them up.
Maxi Cosi makes the BEST car seats … any of them are our favorites.
We love this one because it’s super compact and so light weight.
Works in older cars that don’t have car seat anchors
All time fav for travel infant through toddler. Convertible for forward and back facing.
I find the bigger heavier ones are just too much car seat when you’ve got dogs and gear …
If you’re going to pack a stroller — this is my favorite brand all around for strollers!!
Use to run around town or just hang around camp at elevated level w/sun protection.
I also reclines almost flat for good naps.
